In an unrelated story to our earlier post about the OilersNation making an offer for the Mighty Oil, two local men have reportedly applied for a $202 million line of credit at ATB this morning.
Bank Manager Spencer Benedict was reached on the phone for comment: “Normally when organizations are seeking a loan of this size, they deal with our commercial department. These two gentlemen came in unannounced and approached a teller in the hopes of receiving this loan. They were able to offer little in terms of collateral, but had a briefcase with them that they indicated we could load the money into.”
No final answers have been given by the ATB, but “things are looking really really good” according to one of the men involved.

Try Scotiabank. I use them all the time
Why do you need more for a loan than you are going to pay for the team?
So we can binge drink afterwards.
