Face-offs

Flames rode a good second period to the win this evening. The Sens numbers are a bit inflated by chasing in the third, although it's not like Calgary ran things in the first period either.

Giordano and Bouwmeester were hard matched against the Alfredsson line, which was the only Sens trio really worth a damn tonight. Iginla et al. got that assignment too and they were mostly lousy at it. Jokinen and Tanguay seemed to struggle in particular by my eye. Jokinen had plays dying on his stick all night. Jackman and Moss were also good tonight, although special mention for Curtis Glencross who ended up even despite a team high 6 defensive zone draws (versus 0 in the offensive zone). Stajan and Morrison also had decent nights by those criteria.
