It's that time again. Flames face the Crosby-less Penguins tonight. That sounds like a boon, but this is the club that managed 100+ points without both Sid the Kid and Malkin in the line-up for large portions of the season last. Pittsburgh has some of the biggest names in the game, but that sometimes overshadows the fact that they have one of the strongest overall squads in the league from top-to-bottom.

No easy win tonight, even with Crosby on the sidelines.

Also, as a side note, Phanuef looks REALLY good as Toronto's captain, ugh bad, bad, bad trade. But also, how BAD is Ottawa gonna be, they look TERRIBLE, there is no way that Edmonton is gonna finish last, cause THAT team is head and shoulders terrible beyond Edmonton Terrible.

OTT is just awful.

Player I like most in TOR is Grabovski. He controls play every time he's on the ice. Outstanding.

Abbotsford Heat are 2-0 to start the season, and looks like they are trying to be a more offensive team this season, if the shots for/against are any indication. I believe they doubled the shots in the first two games. Good to see them off to a good start, be a good thing for a lot of those guys to make the playoffs down there.

Also I'm starting to see why Filitov was let go for so little, he has done so little this game at best and has cost his team a lot.

My guess is we are going for double this time 8 1 and yes I'm a die hard flames fan. One day the team will turn around but nothing can be forced. Go flames!!!!
