This is one of those games where the totals aren't really indicative of the play. The Flames reeled things in when the outcome was no longer in doubt and the Canucks were in cruise control. Before Vancouver took a commanding lead, they also had a commanding chance advantage (16-4).

Not a lot of the game was played at ES so the difference didn't really show up there. The separation between the two club's PPs was very obvious however: the Canucks move the puck through with ease while the Flames are still struggling to do anything of note.

This happens every so often when you meet a very good team. Take the lumps and move on.

Take their lumps and move on to what, exactly? Another ass-kicking, lol.

The Flames looked confused and dazed out there. If they are playing a system, I have yet to identify it. I hold the coach 50% responsible. But the fact that the Flames couldn't even execute a crisp pass sure wasn't his fault.

Oh well, at least there is the NFL and some very intriguing MMA matchups throughout this winter to keep me occupied. That and beautiful B.C.

Those distractions should get me through what is definitely going to be a lottery pick season. Book it. Despite, what Kent says about the Flames not being that bad -no- they are that bad. The Oilers and Avalanche are no longer the welcoming mattresses of the West. We are.

God I hate losing to the Canucks...especially getting totally outclassed.

I still think the worst is yet to come this month with more heavy hitters still to come.
