Of course because I bad mouthed Iginla and company after their rough road trip they decided to come out and take it to the Wild tonight. The first line was dominant, particularly Jarome who fired 8 shots on net and was +5 in terms of chances. I'll gladly eat humble pie if the Iggy/Jokinen duo can continue that sort of play (though I remain very dubious that will happen).

Not much to talk about otherwise. The Flames PK was excellent and lost in the PP's recent potency is the fact the Flames have been much better at denying shots while down a man recently as well.

Hey Kent, Nice to see Flames more offensively-minded D-mean like Brodie and DSmith having positive Corsi numbers (and surprisingly Hannan too) while the other D who play against top lines were minus Corsi's....so players doing their jobs on D! Meanwhile Corsi numbers fairly even distributed among forwards with nobody horrible and only a couple guys good...means team is rolling lines well. No surprise it's a hard-fought win.

They beat up Cullen-Heatley-Bouchard. If that wasn't going to happen then we are even further down the rabbit hole than we thought.

Bring on Datsyuk and Zetterberg + Kesler and the Sedins and I suspect your road trip analysis will look more apropos than these numbers.
