Ironically one of the Flames most dominant performances through two periods tonight. The Red Wings played the night before and they looked exhausted through the first two, although they managed to turn it on in the third. Giving up just three chances to Detroit through 40 minutes is as good as it gets for the Flames this season folks. Drink it in.

Thanks Kent as always,
I was telling my wife at the game tonight I cannot believe how Detroit only had and handful of good chances at the second int. of course they turned it on in the third, but as a life long flames fan, I feel like a hang on at the end is inevitable against a good opponent!!!! Maybe they just like to keep us on the edge
Merry Christmas to you and the flames nation bunch.
Interesting to see that Babcock switched from Datsyuk-Franzen-Bertuzzi to Datsyuk-Franzen-Holmstrom about half way through the second period. I wonder if that was part of the changing fortunes. Changing one aging beat up D-bag for another shouldn't really change that calculus, but the fates are fickle sometimes.
