Face-offs

*This is mainly a placeholder until we can get the full count in. In addition, the entire second period is being interpreted as a 5-on-4 situation for the Flames for some reason, so the count for each individual player is totally messed up. Hopefully this can be resolved in the near future.

In general - Flames got out to a big lead in the third thanks to some good finish, but fell way back in the second. They reeled it back a bit in the third but were technically lucky to make it to OT with the Stars pressing during their final PP. Calgary was the better team in extra time for sure though.

Ha, maybe the NHL did get the second period right; it sure did look like a 5 0n 4 powerplay for the Stars during most of the second. However, the Flames were a better team in the other three periods, especially in the first and OT. Stars had a fluky goal in third to get the extra point, but outside of the late powerplay did not generate much in the final period.

Plus, when did Bourque get back from his extended vacation? I sure missed that guy!!!
