Face-offs

Flames with a flaccid first period, but then Iginla, Tanguay and, to a lesser degree, Langkow, took over. Jarome has been on fire lately, but it's mostly been PP chances and SH% driving his numbers. Tonight, though, he was legit and the Flames first line really drove things. The rest of the Flames forward corps were even or underwater in terms of chances and possession, but the big guns came to play tonight and were rewarded on the scoresheet.

On the back-end, most of the club had a decent night aside from Sarich, who was a disaster again. Sutter dropped him down the rotation in favor of Carson in the third period, which tells you about the quality of his play.

Overall, this game could have gone either way with both teams putting up enough chances to post a 'W'. Flames scored last and kept their ever faint playoff hopes still alive.

Congratulations to Mr. FLAME (Jarome Iginla) on 1000 career points. That pass to Alex Tanguay was sick.
