According to Jesse Spector, the Flames have traded Tim Erixon to the New York Rangers for Roman Horak and two second round picks. Flames also sent a 5th rounder to the Rangers in the deal.

Horak is a former 5th round pick who scored 78 points in the WHL last year for the Chilliwack Bruins. He was second on the team in scoring behind Ryan Howse.

IMO if the kid didn't want to play here which by the way looked very obvious - good riddance, why in the heck would you want to try and sign someone who doesn't want to be here.

How did the organization not know this? Why didn't they have knowledge of this around the trade deadline?? Perhaps he could have been pakcaged with someone for a real asset?

Doesn't sit well with me. No one wants a pplayer who doesn't want to be here. But how is it we didn't know - no one knew??
