Kent Calls

Kent Wilson was an honored guest on Sportsnet Radio FAN 960 on Tuesday afternoon as he joined me on the phone for some Flames prospects talk.  I've had the privilege of checking out Calgary's entry into the Young Stars Tournament in Penticton all week, and after the first two games involving the Flames, I wanted to get Kent's obersvations so far.  We also preview the start of training camp on Saturday, something FlamesNation will be all over.

Kent and I get into discussions surrounding Sven Baertschi, Max Reinhart, Patrick Holland and Joni Ortio, as all four have played in both games to this point.  The Flames prospects fell 6-1 in their opener with San Jose before dropping a 4-3 overtime decision to Vancouver on Monday.  Their final game comes Wednesday night against the Edmonton Oilers (8:30 pm, Sportsnet Radio FAN 960).

On the training camp front, we delve into issues surrounding the departure of Robyn Regehr and Daymond Langkow and speculate how their important roles will be filled.

So start of regular season Kent? Looking forward to it, especially if it is a weekly radio thing.

@schevvy

That's the plan. If not by then, then at some point in the near future.
