Not a lot happened at ES in terms of chances tonight, although the Flames managed to put shots and such on net when they had the PP. The Oilers couldn't geenrate much even though they were chasing all night and Khabibulin's lousy goaltending hurt them a lot.

Ironically, a couple of the worst Flames at ES this evening were Iginla and Cammalleri. They were fine with the ma advantage, but had a lot of problems moving the puck north and/or putting the puck on net from the scoring area. Sutter basically stopped playing the first line once the team went up for good about mid-way through, thus their relatively low ice time.

I had it 20 to 10 for the Flames in scoring chances, but I include an area extending out in a semi-oval from the midsection of the two faceoff circles back towards the blueline, so i makes sense my numbers are a bit higher than you have.

I include this area because I've noticed from shooting percentage charts that it's a higher percentage area as well.

Oh, I also included the empty-net shot as a chance.

For my records, I use the same definition of "even strength" as the NHL does, so I can compare my plus/minus numbers on scoring players with the official ones.
