Game 49 - Flames vs Sharks Live Chat

The Flames have a decent shot at going into the ASG break on a winning note, which is good news since a lot of teams will make up some games in hand while the Flames sit around for the next week or so.

The Sharks remain a great team, but they are on the second night of a B2B and somewhat hobbled by injury. Clowe, Burns and Havlat are down for the count, all of whom are top of the rotation guys.

I'm not as jazzed by the hockey the Flames have played over the last few weeks as others (getting marginally outplayed most nights is still being outplayed) but at least the goaltending has been excellent and the team defense solid. More of that and a bit of luck and Calgary can stay in and around the hunt for 8th during their little mid-season vacation.

Miikka Kiprusoff has a 1.21 GAA over the last 5 games. Definitely the right direction.
