Fn Weekend Open Thread - FN PS3 NHL13 League is Go!

So there was enough interest in a PS# GM Connected league around here that I went out and bought the game and set it up (thanks my readers for that EA Sports).

The league's name is "Flamesnation" of course. My gamertag is "mgnone9" and Im the GM of the...NY Islanders! Rosters have been randomized though, so they might actually be pretty good.

Feel free to join up and grab team. Leave your team requests and gamertags here in the comments so I know who is who and your preferences. We'll figure out scheduling and the like when we've got everyone signed up.

UPDATE - like the XBOX league, the Flames are going to be auctioned off. So anyone who wants to control Calgary has to "bid" on them by donating to Ryan Lambert's worthy cause. Highest donation gets the Flames.

Sorry Kent but I had to laugh when I saw you were with the Islanders. Does the game allow the GM to beat his owner with a shoe? Because if so I might actually buy the system and game for that alone.

On the other hand, I guess this way you might finally get ahold of Frans Nielsen.

Nope. I randomized the rosters, so some other lucky GM has Nielsen (although Im guessing the game doesn't give him much respect ratings wise).

I saw that. I was just hoping maybe he'd been left on the roster.

I'd be interested to see what your roster is, realizing of course that if Matt Stajan is now an Islander I don't know that I'll be able to stop laughing. ;-)

This sounds like fun, too bad I'll miss it. I look forward to some updates along with a healthy does of friendly trash-talk.

I managed to get Giordano, which is good. And Bourque, which is bad (although Bourque is a decent player in video game land).
