In the last two games, the Flames have allowed 52 more shots at their net than they've generated. They have 3 of 4 points nonetheless. They've been handily outchanced as well as the first line has come back down to earth recently after generating a lot for about a week.

The points are coming via Kipper and the bounces. Miikka hasn't played like this since probably 2005-06 and it'll be interesting to see how long he can keep it up.

This isn't hockey that can win in the long-term though. It's only a matter of time before the bad guys shots start going in.

In theory we hope that Kipper doesn't have to keep this up forever, just long enough to get some talent back from the IR and move some kids (or non kids, KK) back down the AHL and they will pick up the slack as Kipper comes back down to earth.
