While the Flames were handily outchanced through the first two periods, they managed to keep things relatively close at ES and then started to turn the tide as San Jose began to run out of gas in the third. It could have been ugly after two, but the Sharks missed a lot of 10-bellers and Calgary finished on two of their three opportunities. That likely sums up San Jose's recent struggles rather well.
Nice redemption for Matt Stajan, who has just a miserable time of it since he came over from Toronto.

Niemi saved 25% of shots against that were also scoring chances (or, why no one is afraid of playing the Sharks in the playoffs).
Missed the game, but looks like what we discussed in the pre-game continued tonight for the Sharks. Own most of the play only to fail to score and have their goaltending fail them. Can't say I'm complaining! Also, nice to see Stajan playing so well along with another Baertschi goal!
I am actually in Edmonton tonight forced to watch the game, however I could not believe the flames contingent in the pub....kent you do such amazing work but you will have to educate me on how the OT goal wasn't a scoring chance.
