Calgary had a pretty decent time of it at ES this afternoon, especially compared to what they've managed recently. They were marginally in the black until the OT, when a Cammalleri give away and penalty tilted things in Dallas' favor. That was unfortunate for Mike because prior to that he had an excellent night, having a hand in just about every Calgary chance the first line generated.

That's probably cold comfort for Flames fans given how things ended. Calgary now sits 5 back of the stars with not a lot of games left. It will take quite the run for the Flames to catch up to the crowd now.

Would like to see king fired and the flames tank the rest of the season in hopes of a high draft pick. This team is going no where fast - it needs a superstar centre and another very good d man who can score. Sven has been fun to watch score..

Well give the Flames credit, they have play 4 fairly consistent games as of late. Great stick handling and such. The bigger issue has been a lack of both d and offense. They have got to shoot the puck more and protect those leads too! Not a big loss tonight we are still 4 points back. Nothing lost nothing gained.

I'm just glad the answer to the Flames struggles is in the room as Feaster says. You'd think that they could find it after 3-4 years though. Is it the Downey in the jerseys? The floor squeaks? Maybe the owners shut the hot water off. Maybe the maintenance staff will find it this summer, they'll have lots of time considering there will be no NHL playoffs in Calgary this year. I tell you one thing, apathy has definitely set in with me. I could care less to watch another listless effort in a must win game for the rest of the year until some wholesale changes are made. Iginla has woken up as of late though. Maybe it was all the Nyquil.

Today i gave up on the Flames' season. After the short handed goal was scored, i abandoned my tv and have decided that i will devote Flames game nights to doing something more productive instead. For example, reading books that have been sitting on my shelf for quite some time now. So no more watching the Flames for me this season.

I am appalled at the Organization's and the Owners' inability to WAKE UP and see that obviously there is something amiss here. To make matters worse the newspaper goon who is our CEO is also a shareholder of the franchise, which means he is not going anywhere. I think we are doomed for years to come and unfortunately, left to cheer for a team that doesn't (can't) show up and is gutless.

I'm out!

@John Deere Green

I told myself if they lost this one I would check out. I'm checked out. Screw it, we'll try again next year. Season's over. I'm only excited for these playoffs to watch the Nucks fail.
