During and after the fireworks in Vancouver on Saturday night, many people wanted to get on Canucks head coach John Tortorella for being so mad. Claiming that if he didn’t want or expect that to happen, he should have put out a more skilled line.

MY TAKE: CONCUSSIONS

On Monday ten former NHL players filed a class action lawsuit against the NHL for concussions they suffered while playing hockey. One more player has since joined. If you haven’t seen it in its entirety, you can check it out here.

I have no idea what the gentleman that played the game in the decades before me went through. I don't know what the medical protocols were for guys concussed or how medically informed they were, way back when.

I don’t even know if the NHL knew. That’s the biggest question in all of this.

The dressing room is supposed to be a safe place for players. That is said time and again between coaches and players. Things that are said or happen between those walls stay between those walls.

Joe Thornton is making headlines today, for a comment he directed in a humorous way at a scrum of reporters that were interviewing another player. He was not being interviewed himself. He said something sarcastic about scoring four goals in one game and what he would do to celebrate.
