TJ Brodie took a leap forward this season, becoming one of the Flames' most influential players. Seizing the role he was thrust into with the departure of Jay Bouwmeester, Brodie became the most reliable defender on the ice most nights.
I don't think anyone actually thought Brodie would turn out to be a top-pairing defender, and the results show he isn't there yet - but the arrows are all pointing in the right direction for the mobile youngster.

Well, we're here. After an interminable 82 48 game season, your 2012-2013 Calgary Flames will walk out of the Madhouse on Madison tonight for the final time as a group. I feel like the game in 2009 where the Flames blew a 5-goal lead against Chicago in this very building likely spelled the beginning of the end for this era of Flames.

The second to last game of this mercifully short season for the Flames will be played tonight at the Scotttrade Centre in St. Louis (which, according to wi, is an awesome place to watch a hockey game).
