Can you believe it’s finally opening night (for the Oilers anyway… as if anyone else matters)?! After months of sitting around, and rehashing the same argument thousands of different ways, the NHL regular season is finally back! That means it’s also time for another round of NationDrafts.

We are, at most, 6 games away from the end of the season and that means the playoff pool is winding down to what looks to be an exciting finish. Even though I know how much you guys look forward to the weekly updates, the good times can't go on forever. The Stanley Cup Finals are underway and holy hell was Game 1 ever a beauty. The Rangers came out like a house on fire, and as the game went on LA forced their will upon the Rangers. It was a great start to what I hope is a long series. My sole pool survivor, Drew Doughty, scored me a couple points but my terrible draft performance continues.

It's Friday and don't, for one second, pretend you're working on anything. You may as well read this Playoff Pool update to see how badly I suck and how my dreams of Internet prizery are being replaced by the stench of failure and loneliness. Somewhere out there, Chris Kelly is laughing at me. He's pointing at his screen and mocking my stupidity. Not only did I choose an injured player for my roster, I didn't take a single Canadien,NY Ranger or Chicago Blackhawk. Now, the only thing left for me to stare at the concrete as I plummet to earth and wait for impact. This is my life at the bottom, laugh if you must.

It's Friday again and I know how much you guys look forward to the weekly Nation Drafts update! As expected, I have absolutely nothing happening in my pool since the only player I have left is Drew Doughty. It's a sad state of affairs. I can't even blame Chris Kelly anymore since the Bruins are out. The only thing that would make me happy is if one of you had Dan Carcillo on your roster since he, quite possibly, got the dumbest 10 game suspension in the history of ice. Elbowing a linesman for reasons unknown? Genius!

Another week is in the books and another star player is taking heat for not performing when it mattered most. Crosby had a tough second round, but so did a lot of the Penguins. If you had Crosby in your pool, like I did, he didn't exactly help out much in the standings. After jumping almost 100 spots last week, I was ready to stop blaming Chris Kelly and forgive him for me being stupid enough to pick him. Well, I'm falling again and I don't think even smashing into the concrete can stop my decline this time around.
