Jarome Iginla Traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins

As has been speculated all night, Aaron Ward of TSN recently confirmed the Flames long time captain has been traded to the Bruins. The assumed return is Alex Khokhlachev, Matt Bartkowski and a first round pick. We will update with further confirmation and other news as it breaks.
For Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hanowski and a first round pick.

Kipper Won't Go and The Flames Heart

Amidst the on-going Iginla melodrama, Nick Kypreos reported last night that Miikka Kiprusoff has told Flames management he won't report to any other team if he's traded at the deadline. Kipper's NTC ran out last summer, but with only one season remaining on his current deal (at $1.5 million in real dollars) Kiprusoff can now play the "I'll just retire if you force me to do anything " card.

As of writing this, the Flames are 14th in the West and six points out of the playoffs with just five games remaining before the trade deadline. Even if they win all five contests, which is unlikely, Calgary probably still won't be in a playoff spot by the time the bell rings on April 3rd.
Flames Prospects 2012-13 NHLE - Full Season

Well the kids are all basically done their regular seasons, so we can take a look at their overall NHL equivalencies for 2012-13.
For those who have been following along all year, there are no major surprises here. A few guys started out on fire, but it really only boiled down to Johnny Hockey putting up a truly noteworthy number. Sven, Bill Arnold are only other guys who finished above the 30-point barrier.
