After a 4-2 loss Thursday night in Detroit, the Calgary Flames bounced back with a 6-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night, getting their record back up above .500.  It gives Henrik Karlsson his first NHL win, and finishes a three game road trip on a winning note.  And Rene Bourque scored late in the third period to finish off his third career hat trick.

It's Henrik Time tonight in Columbus as the Calgary Flames finish off a three game road trip in the Ohio state capitol (5 pm, Sportsnet West and The FAN 960).  It's the much anticipated debut of Flames backup goaltender Henrik Karlsson, or as some of started calling him, The Calgary Tower.  Great nickname...and let's hope the team plays better in front of him than they have in front of past backup goalies.

Can't fault a whole lot of what the Calgary Flames did Thursday night at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, but in the end, they fell 4-2 at the hands of the Red Wings.  After a very good first period, the Flames were unable to follow up the same way in the final two frames.  It was a decent 60 minute effort for Calgary, but Detroit's dynamic duo of Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk won the day.

The Calgary Flames will try to make it three straight wins tonight as they continue a three game road trip at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit (5:30 pm, Sportsnet Flames and The FAN 960).  It's a place that used to be absolute death/kryptonite/guaranteed failure for the Flames, but lately, that hasn't been the case at all.

Not like it was an offensive showcase at the Bridgestone Arena (how many times has that place changed names?), but it's two points and consecutive points for the Calgary Flames.  Rene Bourque scored 2:10 into overtime to supply the only offence in a 1-0 Calgary win as the Flames move above the .500 mark for the first time this season.
