With the news that injured Calgary Flames forwards Rene Bourque, Nigel Dawes and David Moss all took part in an optional skate today at the 'Dome, the question now needs to be asked... where will all these forwards fit on this team?

As Calgary's Jarome Iginla hit the millenium mark in games played over the weekend, the Iginla talk on the FAN 960 has ramped up. So I thought it would be pertinent to look back and bring it all full circle when talking about the man to play all those games with one team.

Cautious Optimism

Calgary was a little better on Wednesday night taking a 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.  In fact, Calgary was MUCH better in a lot of ways. But... maybe the whole "wait and see" mantra is still a good one to have. Yes, Calgary played great, but I'm cautious for two separate reasons.

So, after a lackluster effort Monday against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Flames will be adding two more new members to their lineup tonight as both Ales Kotalik and Chris Higgins will be suiting up against Carolina.

As of 4:00 PM on February 2, 2010 you can colour me still scratching my head. After a marathon call-in show late Monday night that turned into an early Tuesday morning, I'm still struggling to get my head around Daryl Sutter's latest deal to acquire additional forwards. This time, it's Ales Kotalik and Chris Higgins from the New York Rangers and this one makes very little sense on the surface.
