I guess you can call Wednesday the official end of the season for the Calgary Flames, as the players did their traditional locker cleanup and exit interviews with the coaching staff and management. Monday it was Darryl Sutter and Ken King giving their thoughts on a disappointing season. While that session didn't seem to satisfy anyone, I felt we heard a little more from players on Wednesday afternoon

Now that the season is officially over for the Calgary Flames, it's time for the real finger-pointing and question-asking to begin. And, as such, the top of Flames management have made their public appearances and some of those questions have been asked.

Well, after an Easter to forget for the Calgary Flames and their faithful, just where does it sit now? With all the positive vibes coming from a well played 2–1 victory in Denver, a lot of it was undone with a 4-1 loss in Chicago on Sunday afternoon. Let's take a look at the situation as it sits now.

Well, it looks less and less likely that the Calgary Flames are going to catch any other Western Conference playoff team not named the Colorado Avalanche. Why? Well, because all those teams they're chasing decided to win on Thursday night. Luckily, the schedule presents itself nicely for the 9th place Flames.
