1. Injuries are bad
Holy hell.
It's getting to the point where it might be easier to name Flames who aren't injured. Mikael Backlund, Blair Jones, Lee Stempniak, Curtis Glencross, David Moss, Derek Smith. I feel like I must be missing a few guys who, like, died or something too.

1. Here's an easy way to fill column inches
This time of year, if you're a Calgary Flames beat reporter kind of kicking around in the dirt looking for a story and coming up with dick, there's a pretty easy way to get some half-decent quotes:

1. Tanguay's back
So that means no more excuses.
I think I'm finally starting to deal with the team's resolution to 'Go For It' again this year, though that is likely helped in no small way by the fact that they've won five of their last seven with a shootout loss mixed in. And with Tanguay having returned to the lineup last night, the team officially has very little reason to hang whatever poor performances may come in the next few weeks on anything but the fact that they're not very good.

(Wanye has instituted a new rule when it comes to BoA's: winner of the last game gets to write the losers game day post. Naturally I readily agreed because it benefited my side of the conflict. So for those Oilers faithful wondering why a scummy Flames fan is penning your GDB, kindly refer all complaints to Mr. Wanye Gretz III, Esq. - KW)
Things can't be easy for the Edmonton Oilers these days.
Everyone is hurt (or at least faking injuries) and Taylor Hall is paying teammates to step on his face, all so they don't have to play for the Oilers. And really, given how badly things have gone lo these past every-year-since-they-accidentally-made-the-Cup-final, who can blame them?
