With the addition of so many new bodies, the competition for roster spots in the Flames forward rotation is a fierce one these days. A player either has to be clearly superior to his competition or at least a body with a defined role. And when Calgary's regular season went on hold recently, it looked like Dustin Boyd was neither.

After Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Americans and a pending date with the Russians tomorrow, it's really hard to feel the same angst when Canada faces the Germans tonight.

Howdy folks.
The Olympics are, of course, all about athletic competition, pushing to be the best, and coming together as a global community to celebrate peace and goodwill. But let's be honest here, it's also about winners and losers. Canada may have a couple gold medals now but I think it's time we took a look at the real winner so far: America.
Inconsistent Iginla, Team Canada Edition

It's been an up and down Olympics for Team Canada forward Jarome Iginla, not unlike his season with the Calgary Flames. Some pretty good highs, and some pretty invisible periods which you can classify as lows. And after a 5-3 win loss to Team USA on Sunday night, I'm still not sure what to make of Jarome Iginla, Team Canada Edition.
