I know many will shed tears or droop their heads when they found out tonight's game between the Calgary Flames and the Minnesota Wild is the final one this season (7:30 pm, TSN on The FAN 960). With three losses against already, the Flames look to finish the season series even, while they also look to extend their five game point streak against a Northwest Division opponent.

After defeating the Flames 3-1 and 4-1 in their back-to-back series in December, The Wild managed to go on a bit of run and reel off six wins in their next nine games. That charge propelled them up the Western Conferene strandings somewhat, where they now sit in 9th with 51 points after downing the Oilers last night.

I don't think anyone actually saw that coming, so watching the Calgary Flames come back to force overtime after trailing 4-0 in the second period was kinda fun. Seeing P.K. Subban roof the overtime winner 66 seconds into the extra frame probably doesn't sting Flames fans as much as it would have otherwise, as Calgary finishes a four game road trip with six of a possible eight points.

Calgary has an awful good chance to wrap up this long East Coast road trip at 3-0-1 tonight. Whether or not that's a good thing is up to you.
