The on-going Shea Weber drama is making the deep summer a bit more interesting than it would have been otherwise. Will the Flyers snatch Weber away from Nashville and cripple the Predators in the the wake of possibly their most successful season ever? Will Poile and company match? If not, will the Preds GM turn to the demon drink in bitterness? Stay tuned to find out!
This week, Allan discussed the Weber issue (and much more!) with guests Tom Lynn, Harrison Mooney, Ryan PIke and Jonh Matisz.

Although there are a few wrinkles to iron out still - the back-up goalie and the overly crowded blueline - what you see is probably what you're going to get once the season starts when it comes to the Flames roster. We've built the depth chart previously, but now it's time to project where you think this team will land in standings this season (assuming there is a season at all, of course).

In Wanye's Nerd Camp update, there were some questions about the Nation's platform and some requests for some new features in comment section. (Rex continues his rebuilding Odyssey series. Today he looks at the Cup champs.)
What is the common belief about the Kings rebuild? Was it injuries that annihilated them and put them into a high draft position to which they then became addicted? Did ownership want to cut costs? Was it repeated failure to win a Stanley Cup after years of trying to import high-end talent?

Just a year and a half after retiring from playing hockey, Craig Conroy remains just as visible as he was as a player. The former Flames captain retired in February 2011 and joined the management side of the business as assistant to then-interim general manager Jay Feaster. Now he's part of a hockey operations brain-trust that includes assistant general manager John Weisbrod and a handful of others who influence decision-making when it comes to key events such as the trade deadline and the NHL Draft.
A few weeks removed from the 2012 edition of the draft, Conroy reflected on the draft weekend experience and the development of some of Calgary's prospects with FlamesNation's Ryan Pike at Flames development camp.
