As those of you who follow me on Twitter know, last night I was listening to Colin Campbell’s interview with the Fan 590 from earlier in the day and passing along some choice quotes. It was a bizarre interview in a lot of ways, ranging from Colin Campbell’s anger at the victims of hits from behind to his feelings that those pesky emails that were revealed earlier this season were totally appropriate to his not so subtly-worded desire to take a picture of his son, Marc Savard and the Stanley Cup and shove it up Tyler Dellow’s keester.
There was another point in the interview I found especially noteworthy however, one that I felt deserved more than 140 characters of consideration.

Jay Feaster addressed the media on Monday afternoon with a number of interesting tidbits coming from his conversation. The first announcement was the contract extension of goaltender Henrik Karlsson, which is covered below, but Feaster also added new information regarding Alex Tanguay, Brendan Mikkelson and what the team is thinking heading into a very important two week period.

Perhaps the most interesting of the prospects we've covered so far is Matt Puempel. The OHL's rookie of the year in 2009-10 after scoring 34 goals and 69 in 59 games, Puempel was considered a probable top-10 talent into the season before injuries and circumstances derailed things a bit. He still pops up in the first round on most lists, but unless someone goes off-board Puempel will most certainly be available when 13 rolls around.

In the wake of the Stanley Cup finals and the build-up to the NHL Entry Draft, I completely forgot to post the final standings for the Nation Network’s playoff prediction contest.
After the jump, the final results.
