The Calgary Flames play their second to last preseason game tonight when they welcome the New York Islanders to the Scotiabank Saddledome (7 pm, TSN and Sportsnet Radio FAN 960). Calgary got some positive injury news yesterday, and as they move towards a healthier lineup, it looks to be pretty close to an NHL lineup tonight.

Flames GM Jay Feaster joined us on Sportsnet Radio FAN 960 Monday afternoon and gave us some good tidbits of information following Calgary's 14 training camp cuts earlier in the day. More than anything, the news items surrounded injuries with the team, as there were good news bits involving Jarome Iginla and Cory Sarich.

Unlike the first round of cuts, this one features some of the guys many in Flamesland expected to press for a spot on the big club. It looks like the organization is getting serious about the last few pre-season games and making room for the rest of vets to come in and get some reps in before the real stuff begins.
