head-to-head ice.

Flames tilted the ice when the Morrison, Iginla and Tanguay line had a seat. They probably could have won the game if not for a few posts/bounces.

Nothing else really needs to be said at this point. The numbers speak volumes.

Yup. Kipper didn’t play great. Everyone on here will tell you the 4th goal was his fault blah blah blah.

1,2,4 are good hockey plays, and on the 4th, that’s why we pay defenders, but he needs to save the third one.

And….Iggy descends to a team worst -7. Brutal, just brutal.

And to think people blamed Joker. HA!

Joker may suck, but Iggy sucks all by himself. His linemates scored the 3rd and 4th goals when he was taken OFF their lines. How is it even possible that he is this terrible?

      Joker 10-0.
Iginla 2-8. -4, and a giveaway on the GWG. That hurts when a comparing Iginla to a middling player like Jokinen and he still looks like absolute garbage.

At this point the top line is a liability. It is amazing that 3 talented players can fall so badly apart. Hopefully one day soon they can turn it around. Or replace them with Kotalik, Conroy and Sutter.

  • BobB

and to add to the rant. -4 tonight and descending to a team worst -7 tied with that pylon Ian white.

Iggy, I’ve cheered for you since you broke Belfour’s shutout streak in the playoffs. Your first goal. I cannot ignore the facts, however. Please, for the love of hockey, get your shit together, or get OFF the ice.

And to think people blamed Jokinen for Iggy’s suck. HA!

Joker may suck, but Iggy sucks all by himself.

When did Iggy’s 1st and 4th line-mates score tonight? When Iggy was taken OFF the line. Brutal, just Brutal. Nice giveaway on the GWG.

  • this whole “more bounces, less posts” thing is wearing thin after a full year. or maybe it’s just me.

our team isn’t that good. the last two goals were scored with the following forwards on the ice:

tanguay, meyer, stajan / morrison, meyer, jackman.

    this does not instill confidence.

1.) Iginla looked like he was trying to protect years 4 and 5 on his contract. Completely wussied out of going to any area where contact was a possibility, in the parts that I saw (early 2nd period on). Reminds me of Bertuzzi.

2.) I really hope the last of the Langkow bashers have shut their traps. Because he was a centre who could and did carry #12

3.) Still the rest of the F’s were good and Olli had a rare good night (as opposed to a night where he just sucked the teat of his linemates).

    So, as ever, patience.

  • Olli has been fine recently. Part of that is Bourque (and now Glencross) running things and the other part is (forgive the cliche) him simplifying his game. Dude just skates straight, dumps pucks in at the blueline and lets the other guys run the cycle.

That’s not a $3M player, but at least he’s not being detrimental anymore.
