Bit of an odd night for the Flames. They grossly outchanced the Avs through two (in part because they had a lot more chances with the man advantage) but couldn’t buy a goal. In the third, the Avs pushed back in terms of shots and chances but pucks finally started to go in for Calgary.

Calgary’s top-end had another good performance, with Jokinen, Iginla and Jokinen all above water. December has been a good month for the Flames top-six, with Jarome in particular finally looking something like an expensive forward. We’ll see if it lasts and/or if the club can do it against playoff clubs.
