I was comparing home and road splits for team score-tied Fenwick percentage earlier and noticed an odd discrepancy for the Calgary Flames: the team is sixth in the league in possession at home, yet 29th in possession on the road.
Last night Jay Feaster made his first major move of the new season, dealing another former Sutter cornerstone in Rene Bourque for disgruntled Hab Mike Cammalleri. Of course, Flames fans remember the latter from the 2008-09 season when he became the first Flames skater in a decade to score more goals than Jarome Iginla (39).
The fanbase seems to be split over the deal made last night that sent Rene Bourque, Patrick Holland and a 2013 2nd rounder to Montreal in exchange for Mike Cammalleri, Karri Ramo and a 2012 5th Rounder. I get why people might be against it, but I’m not sure I agree.
As many of you already know, the Flames have reacquired Mike Camalleri from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Rene Bourque.
