THE PACIFIC WAR ROOM

PacWarRoom-01-imp

Our friends at The Royal Half have created the Pacific War Room… a wrap-up of the past week in the Pacific from some of the best and brightest bloggers who cover Pacific Division teams. In alphabetical order of the teams in the Pacific Division including the Canucks, Flames and Oilers… we present the Pacific War Room for this week.

your right, but perhaps the two clowns you’re referring to would be more appropriately named “general nonsense” and “major stupidity”, both names are completely interchangeable and are an accurate description of both these idiots.

    • Wax Man Riley

You hit the nail on the head here. People aren’t even laughing at the Oilers any more. Now it is like when you make a mom joke, and the receiver of the joke says “my mom died of cancer. No, for real.”

Then you just feel like a jerk and have nothing but sympathy for them.

      • MattyFranchise

They’re like that dog that gets hit by a car bleeding out on the road, and KLowe is the little crying boy who looks up to you and asks if his puppy is gonna make it? Sure thing slugger, he’s gonna be just fine

  • MattyFranchise

To clarify somewhat, I wouldn’t have found out about these if it wasn’t for the Nations because, going to a Kings site? Sutter’s there and ugh… Flames and all that.

These are a good read though. California(?) rules at hockey, I love the Flames, the Canucks are the Canucks (that is, the worst team in the league unless they are playing the Oilers or are Toronto), I don’t really follow Arizona (that state is actually pretty damn big) and the Oilers are, of course, always terrible.

So, yes, every week I look forward to seeing how deep in the hole my Flames ares.

Sidenote: Thanks for the Scorch shout out Loob, you are my hero.

    “You cant win for Losing”

‘It expresses a sense of futility about
hoping to succeed or, generally, to get something–anything–done. The
elaboration “You can’t win for losing,” with its added play on logic,
    was around in the 1960s. It means that losing keeps you from winning;
you can’t win because things keep going wrong.’

Anyone try telling Katz, Lowe, MacT, and Eakins that?

    YOU CANT WIN FOR LOSING!

End of rant until 9:45pm, Monday, Oct 20th, 2014

  • The Last Big Bear

Okay, enough is enough. You can slam KLowe, MacT, the Coach (He who must be obeyed) and jersey tossing fans…but grandparents in the AZ? No one comes here to die….it costs $250 to drive by a hospital down here, gawd knows what death costs!

Living on a fixed income and you young yahoos driving the economy into the ground…no wonder we go where we can watch the Oilers lose from a seat on the red line for $115.00, after a nice round of golf and drinking a premium bottle of wine that costs $12.

Go to the AZ to die, no you ungrateful pup, we come to Arizona to live!

  • MattyFranchise

I guess this useless site was created for
the Beachcombers to crow over there great success .

Don’t need to read all this Oiler bashing, and besides the Kings, what have the rest of you won recently.

  • MattyFranchise

@anyone from oilersnation, i just read at fourth period that there were 22 nhl scouts on hand for last wednesday game against arizona. the article also says Dave Nonis was at last nights game. any truth to this and if so what rumors are flying around?

  • Matty Franchise Jr

Excellent stuff, particularly BoL, but this is the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time:

“OH GOD WHY ARE ALL THESE BEES STINGING MY FACE AND BUTTHOLE”

Even if it was written by a filthy Oiler fan.

  • The Last Big Bear

You guys are all quitters. I’m proud of how we played in a 2-0 lose. We didn’t get 2 points but we won morally. That is all that matters because in the NHL the inside is what counts. I think Brad Hunt has really stepped it up and is ready for first pairing minutes with Justin Schultz. That is a ton of bull crap how Justin isn’t in Norris conversations. We are an underrated team. I also think Will Acton had a pretty good game and should be up there in the fight for the 2nd centremen job with Draisatl. I said it before and I will say it again. THIS TEAM WILL COMPETE

          • mk

Whoa calm down Kev, don’t let your emotions get the better of you again. Do I need to remind you why we didnt get Corey Perry for Comrie? Take it easy boss, not like you’re ever gonna get fired anyway!

Trust me, Eakins is the right guy! How many times have you seen Hallsy slam water bottles lately?

I got Dellows running the numbers looking for the best corsi winger in the game. We can’t miss!

          • mk

Numbers? Yeah I got a better stat for you my dear.

-Which Oiler can shoot under par at the links this summer?-

Mother Theresa can feed the poor but even she can’t help the spoiled.

Eakins will be waxing my car before the summer hits.

    • It is funny how Edmonton has so many GM’s . I come to work today and everyone is talking about what they would do and who they would trade, but we all know we would have picked the same team back 3-4 years ago. Every draft pick all the boys knew who would be picked and I have faith in our team. Still lots of hockey to be played. If this team makes the playoffs everyone will say, I knew it. But if they don’t they toss a jersey lol . We just need 1 stud vet, like Martin Brodeur and the team will play top notch. We are doing the exact same as the NY Islanders.

      • Wax Man Riley

If this team makes the playoffs, believe me nobody is going to say “I knew it!”

They are going to say “Bbrrrrrr… OMG it is cold in hell this year” or “Wow! What is that?! A flock of fat pink birds saying ‘OINK!'”

If this team makes the playoffs, I’ll quit my job and take up pleasuring you full time.

      • MattyFranchise

Leon, stop buttering yourself up and slithering around the kitchen floor.

If this makes the playoffs, they will have to have beaten out LA, San Jose, Anaheim, Vancouver, and god forbid, even Calgary. Not gonna happen so ………….. Don’t even talk playoffs around us please. We all know better than to swallow that pill!!!

        • Mason Storm

          @Leon

Cause Martin Brodeur is the answer to ALL the Oilers problems. Just what this team needs, the worst starting goalie from the past 3 seasons playing in front of this soft defense. Please refrain from commenting in the future, until the Oilers make the playoffs, soooo, see you in 3-4 years

  • The Future Never Comes

what other team appoints arguably the worst player on the team as their Captain to lead the way? Leadership skills aside, you want to follow the best player to the lead the way!

    • MattyFranchise

If you name a player that would, under normal circumstances, spend half the season in the press box then that guy SHOULD NOT BE YOUR CAPTAIN.

I’d give it to Hall but I have a feeling that he turned it down because he is going to leave this sinking ship sooner rather than later.

  • MattyFranchise

You guys can all quit whining anytime now.You want to know what real pain is?
Talk to any Oriole or Cardinal fan and they will tell you what REAL PAIN is all about !!
