SCOREBOARD WATCHING

Take tonight off, folks, because there are no games with direct playoff implications. Well, for the Flames:

  • Dallas faces St. Louis!
  • Colorado faces Anaheim!
  • San Jose faces Arizona!

A Colorado loss officially kills their playoff hopes. Poor, poor Jarome Iginla.

    A little off topic but…

KGN swept by NB in OHL 1st round, which means Sam Bennett will be returning to pro hockey. CGY will recall, TBD where he’s assigned to.

Poor Iginla? I’m not faulting the guy for his choice: Denver is a great place, he gets to play with his old buddy Tangs, lots of young talent on that team, they’re paying him well, his family probably factored in, etc.

But if he really wanted to win a Cup, then I bet there were better options (at a lower $ figure).
