The Calgary Flames may be getting some good news on the injury front. According to a report from TSN’s Darren Dreger on Tuesday’s edition of Insider Trading, Flames winger Kris Versteeg is expected to be skating in “10-to-14 days” and that could pave the way for a return in “early-to-mid March.”
The Flames seem to have recently developed an eye for picking up prospects who tend to see major growth from year to year. Seems like a good plan to me.
There’s really no point in mincing words: the Buffalo Sabres are a bad hockey team, 30th in the NHL, and the Flames just lost to them. You’re gunning for a playoff spot? It doesn’t hurt that the Sabres got a point, but this certainly wasn’t the performance anyone would expect out of a playoff team.
