The Calgary Flames returned to the practice ice on Tuesday morning after a day off on Monday. A welcome sight was rookie Dillon Dube, who was a full participant in practice.
Coach Peters says Dube has to pass one more test to be cleared to play. Says he anticipates he’ll be ready for Thursday vs. Montreal, though. #Flames

As of this writing, Dube remains on the injured reserve list. However, the Flames have an open roster spot after sending Anthony Peluso to Stockton, so he can be activated at any time.
Lines in Tuesday’s practice were as follows (per Pat Steinberg):
Gaudreau – Monahan – Lindholm
Tkachuk – Backlund – Bennett
Dube – Jankowski – Neal
Frolik – Ryan – Hathaway
Giordano – Brodie
Hanifin – Hamonic
Valimaki – Andersson
The extras appear to be Austin Czarnik, Dalton Prout and Michael Stone. Per Derek Wills, Mike Smith practiced in the starter’s net.
would be nice to see how Bennett does on that second line. Tkachuk and Bennett on the same line could be very nice to watch.
That line would take too many penalties! No thanks!
Why?
It’s obvious that Sam can’t score
He’s been playing pretty good, he just needs a break which playing with those 2 and more ice time, it will probably come and when it does, watch out!!
Heat down 4-3. Were down 2-0, then up 3-2, now 2 goals in a minute put them down again. Gillies has given up 2 shorthanded goals so far.
Was there any news about changes to the PP units?
Gillies pulled after 40 minutes for the second straight game.
Heat win in OT. AOM with the tying goal (with the goalie pulled) and newcomer defensemen Rob Hamilton, just signed today on a PTO, wins it.
Thanks for the update SF, I’m guessing Gillies got beat high glove side on a couple of them 😢
Actually Blocker side high – twice
