Austin Czarnik clears waivers, assigned to Stockton; Zac Rinaldo recalled

The Calgary Flames have continued their roster shuffling. Forward Austin Czarnik has cleared waivers and has been assigned to the American Hockey League’s Stockton Heat. Forward Zac Rinaldo, assigned to Stockton yesterday so there would be a roster spot for Czarnik during the waiver process, has been recalled from Stockton.


Juuso Valimaki’s recovery is ‘ahead of schedule’

The Calgary Flames are getting healthy. Sam Bennett returned on Tuesday night. Austin Czarnik was waived on Wednesday in order to get him some AHL time. Flames general manager Brad Treliving updated the media on some roster moves on Wednesday morning and he was asked about the last remaining injured Flame: prospect Juuso Valimaki.
