Like many players before him, Calgary Flames legend, Lanny McDonald, posted a video via his Instagram account to preach the importance of social distancing as much as possible and supporting each other through this difficult time.
"We're in a different kind of race: a race to save lives. But we can get through this, as long as we all work together."

When Mr. McDonald speaks, we tend to listen. From the video:
“Our Flames were in a great playoff race when the Coronavirus hit, but now we’re in a different kind of race — a race to save lives. We can get through this as long as we all work together. Stay at home as much as possible, spend time with loved ones, and if you have to go out, only go out for the bare essentials. We have to say a big thank you to our first responders and our health care workers — they have done a phenomenal job. We can get through this as long as we all pull together. In the meantime, stay safe.”
Lanny McDonald joins current Flame, Mikael Backlund, in an ever-growing list of NHLers (Connor McDavid, Blake Wheeler, @Jack Eichel, @Nico Hischier, @Rasmus Dahlin, and @Jonathan Bernier) that are doing what they can to encourage people to stay inside as much as possible as we try to flatten the curve on COVID-19.
