It’s a good news, bad news type of scheduling update, folks.
The @NHL has announced the following updates to the 2020-21 regular-season schedule. https://t.co/pzKXJgITuy pic.twitter.com/HHJS8Kyrix

The bad news: the Calgary Flames won’t play Vancouver on Saturday night (and unofficially wont play them on Thursday) due to the ongoing Canucks COVID-19 outbreak. Best wishes to the team and the family members of all impacted, and get well soon!
(Fun fact: the postponement of Thursday and Saturday hasn’t been announced yet by the league.)
The good news: a previously-scheduled Battle of Alberta game that was supposed to take place on May 7 has been moved to Saturday night. The Flames won’t be idle for a week after all!
The Flames are scheduled to play the Canucks on May 8, so presumably moving the Edmonton game up allows the league scheduling flexibility to make up the three postponed Calgary/Vancouver games.
We’ll have more schedule updates as they become available.
