It was a slow one this evening. The two teams pretty much traded shots for the first two periods before the Preds began to run out of gas in the third. Of note is the fact they played the previous night in Edmonton.

Most of the Flames were above water. The third line had a much better night, with Tanguay improving considerably. Somehow Backlund and Stempniak managed ot be -3 though.

Being the official Backlund Watch (TM) commenter, it looked like the line started the vast majority of the time in the defensive zone (or the neutral zone while Nashville had possession; same thing, really). Still a worse differential than I'd expect from those guys, but everyone has their bad games as well.

This might be the strongest game we have seen yet in terms of SC's for Iginla. Hopefully this trend continues.
