Flames not helping themselves with a regulation loss to the Preds, one of the teams trying to catch them and knock them out of play-off contention. Nucks and Kings are right there as well with games in hand.

You are absolutely right but the reality is that the Flames(the team I cheer for) are good enough to be anything more than a bubble team. We are 2 top 9 forwards short (Versteeg, Brouwer and Chaisson are not the answer) and we need an upgrade in our top 4 defenders. That’s our reality. We either need to accept that or BT has to address it and make the moves to take us to the next level. If we are a bubble team then I would prefer us to move our assets as they may be for some late round draft picks. If he can address the holes short term and make us a legit playoff team without giving up our A prospects or our first and second rounder then great I would love to see playoff hockey. If you can somehow add some long term fixes to team then by all means move the first and second rounders and A prospects but not for rentals.
