Flames send Marcus Hogstrom to AHL, roster down to 28

In advance of their final preseason game, the Calgary Flames have made a roster move. Defenseman Marcus Hogstrom has been assigned to the American Hockey League’s Stockton Heat.

Hogstrom was signed by the Flames over the summer but came into camp nursing an injury. So far he hasn’t dressed in any preseason games or really been involved in any of the camp’s practices. His assignment to the AHL camp suggests that he’s progressed enough health-wise to participate in full practice.

Who’s left?

There are 28 players remaining in training camp.
