Dreger: Flames looking to add another rightie defenseman

The Calgary Flames have made a bunch of changes to their blueline this off-season. According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, they might not be done. On Thursday’s edition of Insider Trading, Dreger reported that the Flames are still in the market for another right shot defensemen.
Here’s what Dreger said, answering a question about if Brad Treliving is done:
No, he’s still looking for depth. They like their defensive core. They like the changes that they’ve made. They like the fact that they’ve got good, young developing players that are ready to move to the next level. But Brad Treliving would like to add a experienced, right side defenseman. More likely he does that via trade than free agency, but everything is possible at this point. What we know is they’ve secured their position in goal with Jacob Markstrom. They like what they’ve done up front. They’re deep up front. So he’s not dealing from a position of absolute need here, it’s just making the Calgary Flames that much better and that much deeper.
Based entirely on the Flames’ salary cap situation, it seems likely that the trade market is the more likely avenue for acquiring another blueliner (because then they could move some existing salary out).
The right side of Calgary’s blueline currently looks to be Rasmus Andersson, Chris Tanev and Nikita Nesterov, with Alex Petrovic and Alexander Yelesin waiting in the winds in the minors.
