We’re approaching American Thanksgiving and while normally we’d be fretting about the Flames’ playoff chances, now we’re waiting for the NHL to return in January-ish. With several COVID-19 stoppages here and there, this looks to be a lean week for prospect broadcasts one can watch legally.

Should be playing, but aren’t

  • Jakob Pelletier is inactive, as he’s at World Junior camp.
  • Lincoln (Jake Boltmann) had its Friday and Wednesday games against Waterloo cancelled and declared no-contests.
  • Saint John (Jeremie Poirier) had a positive test among their staff and have had their next three games rescheduled.
  • Cape Breton (Ryan Francis) played Saint John before the positive test was detected, so they’re not playing this weekend as a precaution. Their Wednesday game is postponed, too, due to positive tests on Halifax’s team.
  • AIK (Lucas Feuk) is part of the league-wide shutdown of Sweden’s top junior league that runs through the end of December.
  • HV71 (Johannes Kinnvall) had an outbreak; they’re currently scheduled to pay on Saturday, but no guarantees there.
  • SaiPa’s Wednesday game with HIFK has been postponed due to restrictions on gatherings in Helsinki.
