We’re into the second week of November and pretty much all of the Calgary Flames’ major prospects have begun their seasons – aside from Connor Zary, but we’ll get to that.
Let’s check in with the Flames’ players outside of the NHL.
This and that:
- Johannes Kinnvall and Tyler Persons are on the Flames’ season-opening injury reserve after suffering injuries.
- Walker Duehr was recalled to the Flames but hasn’t dressed yet.
- Connor Zary has been activated from the season-opening injury reserve and is expected to make his season debut for Stockton on Wednesday against Bakersfield.

Beck was held out from Ottawa’s game on Tuesday due to bumps and bruises, but isn’t expected to miss much time. He is, simply put, good at scoring goals. He’s shooting 39%, which is clearly something he can sustain all season.

By any standard for a college blueliner, Boltmann had a very nice offensive week. He seems to have turned a corner after not registering a single point at all last season in either the USHL or NCAA.

Coronato had a quieter week offensively as the Crimson faced much tougher opposition than the previous week, but the team still performed well with a pair of wins. Coronato had an assist, but was a big factor in each game for Harvard.

As impressive as Dustin Wolf’s start to the season has been – and we’ll get to that in a couple paragraphs – Sergeev’s USHL run has been arguably even more impressive. He allowed one goal across two starts, both wins, and was named the USHL’s Goaltender of the Week.
