All Tanguay all the time

Following up on the other day’s bit, the Alex Tanguay plot thickens.
Pierre Durocher, a very respected and trustworthy hockey writer based in Montreal, reports that Tanguay has fired his longtime agent Bob Sauve. And get this — Tanguay is going to Edmonton… to find a new agent, namely Steve Kotlowitz.
It’s been that kind of summer for Tanguay, who is seeking his third team in as many years. With shoulder issues and with his points production having tumbled from 81 to 58 to 41 (in 50 games) over the past three winters, Tanguay has seen his value drop and he’s facing a huge trim on the $5.3 million he earned in 2008-09.
Reports out of Tampa are saying that Tanguay would love to play in Tampa alongside the likes of fellow Quebecois Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St-Louis. Trouble is, the Bolts are up against it as far as their budget is concerned (these are the chaps who will be paying Vinny Prospal not to play for them for the next six seasons) so they would have to shed salary before signing the ex-Av, ex-Flame and ex-Hab.
