In case you haven’t heard the Dallas Stars are a serious cup contender. The Flames – who had been playing better – gave up pretty early in the game against Nashville. Fatigue can do that to a team once in a while but it lingering is unlikely. No matter though because as much as the Flames try the Stars are deeper in terms of depth and have legitimate star power all over their lineup.
Primary bet – Dallas Star to win, Moneyline (-175)
A $1 bet pays out $1.57 – The logic here is simple, Dallas is better. They should win running away. (Especially as the home team.)
Secondary Bet – Matt Duchene to get 1+ points (-120)
A $1 bet pays out $1.83 – The odds for the big boys are a lot lower for the Stars so I settled in at Duchene. The Stars going from Domi to Duchene for the same amount of cap dollars was an extremely underrated move.
Tertiary Bet – Dallas Stars to score a powerplay goal (-134)
A $1 bet pays out $1.75 – The Flames kill is alright but with Jason Robertson leading the way they don’t have to concede much room to have a good shot released. Pavelski could bury them too, he’s been good at that throughout history.
