The Oilers give up the front of the net and the Flames attack it relentlessly. They are a very offence driven team, defending was never their strong suit. Woodcroft coming in improved their metrics but not the choices for the roster. The Edmonton defence should heed some goals to the Flames most aggressive goal scorers.
Very intriguing to see the majority of Calgary Flames below 50% in xG.Of the 6 games they’ve played they were clearly the better team in 4 games, but being extra bad in terms of chances in the other two can crater %’s when the sample size is this small. We’re going to focus on the top 6, PP1, and of course the McDavid of it all.

Primary Bet – Over 6.5 total goals and Connor McDavid to score 2+ points (+120)

I’m not ashamed to use McDavid here – only going to get one more time. These two teams seem to throw all logic out the window which makes it hard to stay grounded in reality thinking about bets. McDavid is a cheat code – every Flames fan has watched him burn them 100 times already – at least maybe make some money out of it. Nothing in the betting line here that says the Flames can’t be the winners still.
At +120 a $5 bet pays out $11.00

Secondary Bet – MacKenzie Weegar to get 1+ assists (+140)

Second best xGF% on the roster and he plays a ton of minutes. Odds are the apple would come at 5v5 but there’s always a chance with PP2 minutes. Calgary gives each unit about a minute to score before swapping – in a game that has the potential for mass amounts of power plays this is good value.
At +140 a $5 bet pays out $12.00

Tertiary Bet – Jonathan Huberdeau and Leon Draisaitl both to score 1+ power play points (+350)

Pretty self explanatory – two of the top options on each power play unit and all they have to do is get 1 point a piece for you to cash in. Over 200 points scored last season between the two of them – makes so much sense.
At +350 a $5 bet pays out $22.50
As usual, bet safe and enjoy the game!
