It’s hockey pool season, and if you’re like me, pool season is a time to try to out-smart and out-wit your hockey-loving friends
Our pals at Daily Faceoff have toiled endlessly in their lair to compile a compendium of drafting information to allow you to dominate your pool.
Flames forward “19-Year-Old” Sam Bennett is ranked #9 among ‘Ready Rookies’ and is projected to finish the season with 15 goals, 21 assists for 36 total points. Writes Brock Seguin of Daily Faceoff:
“After being selected fourth overall at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Bennett seemed poised to make the Flames out of training camp. However, his season was put on hold due to shoulder surgery and he was ultimately sent back to Kingston (OHL). Once he recovered he stepped in and scored 11 goals with 13 assists (24 points) in just 11 games. After Kingston was eliminated from the playoffs, he was called-up and registered three goals and two assists in 12 games between the regular season and playoffs. Bennett is Doug Gilmore’s clone and Dougie had 53 points in his rookie year…”
The Draft Guide features projected points totals for literally hundreds of NHLers. Oh, and FlamesNation’s resident analytics guru Kent Wilson wrote an article about using advanced stats to win your hockey pool. It’s very useful.
So pick it up! The massive draft guide is just $4.95 and is available to download right now.
