After clinching the top spot in the Western Conference, the Flames are going to Disneyland.
The Calgary Flames (50-23-7, 107 points) are biding their time before the playoffs. They face the Anaheim Ducks (33-37-10, 76 points) at the Honda Center, where they’ll hope to get through the game without much in the way of injuries, suspensions, or general physical exertion.
The puck drops at 8:30 p.m. on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet 960 The Fan. The Flames opened as a slight (-159) favourite on OddsShark’s moneyline.

The Flames

Projected lines, via Daily Faceoff:
Gaudreau – Ryan – Czarnik
Tkachuk – Backlund – Frolik
Dube – Jankowski – Neal
Mangiapane – Quine – Hathaway
Fantenberg – Andersson
Valimaki – Stone
Kylington – Prout
David Rittich starts again, backed up by Mike Smith. Sam Bennett will be held out after getting walloped by Kurtis MacDermid against the Kings. Sitting tonight for the Flames are Mark Giordano, TJ Brodie, Noah Hanifin, Travis Hamonic, Sean Monahan and Elias Lindholm. Fun fact: each forward line features at least one homegrown player, while each defensive pairing features a Flames draft pick.
The Flames are just hoping to get through 60 minutes of hockey in a calm, orderly and injury-free fashion. They have bigger fish to fry starting on Apr. 10.

The Ducks

Projected lines, via Daily Faceoff:
Rakell – Steel – Silfverberg
Ritchie – Getzlaf – Sprong
Shore – Henrique – Perry
Jones – Grant – Rowney
Lindholm – Larsson
Fowler – Welinski
Megna – Holzer
Ryan Miller starts for the Ducks, backed up by John Gibson. Their extra body is Brendan Guhle. Ryan Getzlaf and Nick Ritchie should return tonight, as the Ducks have sent Chase de Leo and Kiefer Sherwood to the AHL.
The Ducks are auditioning some younger bodies. They’ve got some nice performances out of the likes of Sam Steel, but we’ll see if they can build off all the garbage time minutes they’re getting as the clock winds down on Anaheim’s season.
