The Calgary Flames will be looking for a fourth straight road victory over the Chicago Blackhawks when they visit the Windy City on Tuesday as -130 favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
The team travels to Chicago on a high after opening their brief two-game road trip with a 5-4 victory in Minnesota as a -115 wager on Sunday, and now rides their first two-game win streak in almost four weeks into Tuesday night’s matchup at the United Center.

Flames at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Flames’ offence has rebounded over the past two games, scoring nine total goals after tallying just 2.38 goals per game during their preceding 2-5-1 run. Calgary’s victory over the Wild also extended the team’s recent stretch of strong play away from Scotiabank Saddledome, going 7-1-1 over their past nine road contests.
Johnny Gaudreau has led the charge during the Flames’ recent resurgence, potting one goal and adding three assists over the team’s two recent wins. Gaudreau has also feasted on the Blackhawks of late, recording four goals and nine assists over the team’s past seven meetings with Chicago. That production has contributed to the Flames’ current 6-1-0 run against Chicago.
However, it was the Blackhawks that came away with a 5-3 win as +160 underdogs at sports betting sites when these two teams met on New Year’s Eve. In addition, the Flames’ three recent victories in Chicago all came by narrow one-goal margins, capped by a 4-3 victory while pegged as -180 road chalk in a game that took place exactly one year ago.
The Blackhawks enter Tuesday’s contest as +110 underdogs after posting wins in seven of their past 10 games. Chicago is coming off a 4-2 win over the visiting Detroit Red Wings as -210 home chalk on Sunday, and has now recorded consecutive victories on home ice for the first time since winning four in a row back in early November.
The Chicago offense has also been clicking during the team’s hottest stretch of the season, potting five or more goals in three of their past five outings. The Blackhawks also scored nine total goals over their two recent home wins, maintaining a steady run for the OVER, which has gone 8-4 in totals betting over their past 12 contests.
